RCM Y-wall offers very similar properties to that of cement particle board, but due to RCM Y-wall calcium additives, RCM Y-wall has much greater fire resistance properties. RCM Y-wall is to meet the ever more stringent demand from specifiers, RCM Y-wall also meet all the clients and insurers demand in the market place.
RCM Y-wall is manufactured from a mixture of cement, lime, with RCM Y-wall calcium silicate and other additives. RCM Y-wall is resistant to the general effects of moisture, and RCM Y-wall is also resistant to humidity changes and rot including insects and also vermin, RCM Y-wall is non-combustible and RCM Y-wall also has excellent fire related properties between (60- and 90-minutes firewall when used in through wall application).
Y-Wall is a calcium silicate cement building board. Y-wall is also used primarily as a fire rated sheathing board or building board. Y-Wall is also used extensively on both steel frame including timber frame structures, Y-wall is used behind all types of façade solutions, as well in ceilings, Y-Wall offering a non-combustible classification.
Y-wall standard board sizes are 2400mm x 1200mm in 6mm, 9mm, 12mm and 15mm thickness. RCM Y-wall which also rated as an A1 non-combustible.
RCM Y-wall can always be cut and drilled including nailed using conventional hand tools; Y-Wall offering many of the properties of timber.
